Terms of Service

Welcome to Seemind. By using seemind.net (the “Service”) you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. If you are using the Service for an organisation, that organisation accepts these terms.

1. The Service

Seemind is an associative thinking tool: it helps you explore a semantic concept graph, build visual maps, trace connections and export outlines. The core canvas runs locally in your browser. Accounts and Pro features use Cloudflare-hosted functions and a small database (see the Privacy Policy).

2. Accounts

• You may use the Service without an account. Accounts are required for Pro features.
• You are responsible for safeguarding your Google login and for activity under your account.
• You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country).
• One person may hold one active account; creating accounts to abuse trials is not allowed.

3. Seemind Pro & billing

• Trial. New accounts may receive a free trial. You are not charged during it.
• Subscription. Pro is a paid subscription billed through Stripe until you cancel.
• Cancellation. You can cancel anytime from the Stripe billing portal; access continues until the end of the current period.
• Changes. Price changes apply at your next renewal after we notify you.
• Refunds. Because usage is immediate, fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including:

• reverse engineering, scraping or bulk re-hosting the semantic data we license,
• attempting to bypass Pro gating, trials or billing,
• using the Service to store or transmit unlawful, harmful or abusive content,
• interfering with the Service, its functions or other users.

5. Your content

The canvases and notes you create are yours. We claim no ownership over them, and they remain on your device unless you choose to store them with your account. You are responsible for the content you create.

6. Open data & attribution

The concept data you explore comes from openly licensed sources: ConceptNet 5 under CC BY-SA 4.0 and Princeton WordNet 3.1 under the Princeton license. “WordNet” is a trademark of Princeton University. Any works you derive that incorporate these datasets inherit their share-alike obligations.

7. Intellectual property

The Seemind software, brand and logo are owned by Seemind. The logo and its colour palette are part of the Seemind brand and may not be reused without permission. You may not sell, copy or resell the Service.

8. Disclaimer & liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Seemind is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and its total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. The semantic data is provided by third parties and may contain errors or omissions.

9. Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms, fraud or abuse. Sections that by their nature survive (6–9) continue to apply.
